Havala Schumacher
Havala Schumacher, RYT-200, began her yoga journey as a teenager after coming across her mom’s old copy of “Light on Yoga” in the attic. Nearly 25 years later, she completed her teacher training through Yoga Farm Ithaca in 2022. Her personal practice and certifications include hatha/vinyasa, yin, and yoga nidra, reflecting her belief that all of us need both deep rest and exuberant play. Havala lives in Baker, WV with her husband, dogs, and chickens, and can usually be found in her kitchen, in the garden, or on local trails when she’s not on the mat or working her “day job” at the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Mamta Kaushal
Mamta Kaushal is an alignment-based yoga teacher, who completed her teacher training in 2015. She believes that anyone can do yoga– its not about how “good” you are at the poses, but rather about how “good” you are at listening to your own body. In 2023, Mamta completed her certification in Ayurveda Lifestyles with the Chopra Foundation, as she was interested in this ancient Indian science of life and about how we can live in balance with nature. By day, Mamta is a lawyer who specializes in international anti-corruption investigations, but the most fulfilling part of her life is living in the mountains of West Virginia with her husband and dog, where she gets to enjoy nature and the beautiful community that surrounds her.
